Current Volunteer/Intern Opportunity
Refugee Women’s Network (RWN) is seeking a talented and dynamic student to assist with marketing and communications activities for a 3- or 6- month supervised internship.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct media monitoring and tracks RWN’s presence in print and online
  • Assist with compilation and prioritizing of features for agency web site
  • Develop and edit communications materials, including promotional materials for events
  • Prepare regular reports about web site analytics and propose strategies to improve traffic

Skills

  • Excellent oral and written communication
  • Basic understanding of marketing principles
  • Ability to successfully work in a dynamic, team environment
  • Ability to take direction and work independently, as needed
  • Willingness to learn about refugee and women’s issues and use that knowledge in designing communications materials

Education and Qualifications

Currently pursuing a degree in marketing, communications, or public relations at the associate or bachelor’s level.  Should have basic knowledge of html code and web design.  Experience with proofreading preferred.  Understanding of refugee and women’s issues preferred.
