"This is wonderful, because these papers record the accomplishments of hundreds of refugee and immigrant women across the US. Due to archival technology and the internet, these materials and the stories of all these women will be available to researchers, students, and the public across the US and internationally, and for decades to come," says Ms. BryAnn Chen, RWN's Executive Director.
"Just think, from now on, when a researcher does a search for "microenterprise" or "economic developmen" not only will the Nobel Peace Prize winner Mohamed Yunus and the Grameen Bank be listed, but so will Refugee Women's Network and our hundreds of refugee and immigrant women entrepreneurs. What a great way to show that refugee and immigrant women are doing and have always been doing amazing work."
