Atlanta, Georgia - July 25, 2005 - Refugee Women's Network Inc. (RWN) is sponsoring the National Conference for Refugee and Immigrant Women in Atlanta, Georgia from September 22-25, 2005.

The 8th National Conference for Refugee and Immigrant Women is a culmination of the year's activities and gathers over 200 refugee and immigrant women to celebrate and share experiences. The conference will address many of the issues of concern to refugee and immigrant communities today such as conflict managment, health promotion, project development, grant proposal writing, budgeting, personal finance, public speaking and advocacy.

Every year 200 women from 30 states, from 41 countries have particpated. From the past, the conference offers excellent opportunities for refugee and immigrant women from across the U.S to increase their skills, become effective leaders in their ethnic communities, cement partnerships and create new working relationships. RWN will support making arrangments with meetings if needed during the conference.

At the opening banquet September 23, 2005 RWN will celebrate its 10th anniversary with dinner, a fashion show, cultural performances, music and dancing. We will also unveil our commerative Friendship Quilt. Tickets for the banquet is $40.

Created in 1995, Refugee Women's Network Inc. (RWN) is a national non profit organization dedicated to empowering refugee and immigrant women through leadership training, education and advocacy.

Registration costs for the conference is $350 and includes registration fee, lodging, materials, meals and the banquet. Transportation is the responsiblity of the particpant. For women not requiring lodging it will cost $200.
